Courage Awards
Parents, friends, doctors, nurses and social workers may nominate children whom they recognize as ‘courageous.’ Courageous Kids receive a certificate and a special gift at a party held in their honor to remind them that they are not alone in the fight against cancer. Children can also nominate the caring, dedicated adults in their lives with a Guardian Angel Award.

Get Well Cards
One of the easiest yet most personal ways to get involved in our cause is to reach out to a child with words of encouragement. Our most common penpals are schoolchildren who connect with hospitalized patients through our Get Well Cards program. Thousands of children have received positive message from other members of the KCC community.
-
Art Therapy
The KCC Arts and Crafts program gives children a chance to partake in various arts and crafts both in and outside the hospital.
-
Positive Appearance Center
Thousands of beauty professionals across the country volunteer their time and services to create a sense of support, provide confidence and give courage to cancer patients. We appreciate those who volunteer to donate beauty products or sponsor a Courageous Kid’s spa day.
-
Magical Caps
The Magical Caps program encourages community involvement in the struggle against cancer by collecting caps for young patients who have experienced hair loss as result of a variety of cancer treatments including chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. Contact us if you would like to donate or make magical caps.
